Meet your judge for the Christmas Classic in Bushnell, Ryan Cummins.
Mr. Ryan Cummins grew up showing livestock beginning at the age of eight years old and knows the industry from many aspects. He was born in Brenham, Texas and raised on a small family farm just outside of Chappell Hill. Mr. Cummins started his educational goals receiving an Associate’s Degree at Clarendon Junior College where he was on the prestigious Livestock Judging Team.
Next up was Oklahoma State University, where he also was on the Award-Winning Livestock Judging Team. In Stillwater, Ryan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agriculture Economics. He also has a Master’s Degree in Agriculture from Sam Houston State University.
Mr. Cummins is an Agriculture Science Teacher in the Houston area. Cummins has judged a variety of market and breeding cattle, sheep, swine, and goat shows nationally. He believes that showmanship and experience is crucial to being successful in the show ring and that it’s a continual learning process.
